As a former Team GB Age-Group athlete, Ironman competitor, father of two young boys and someone balancing coaching alongside a career outside of sport, I understand the realities of training around work, family, and everyday life.
About
I came to coaching through a lifelong passion for sport, performance and helping people improve. My philosophy is simple:
Consistency beats broken intensity — every time.
I'm Craig Miskin — endurance coach, athlete, and the person behind CM Endurance.
The athletes who progress long term aren’t always the most talented. They’re the ones with the right structure, systems and habits in place to keep moving forward.
My coaching focuses on clarity, honest communication, and building training around the life you actually live — not an ideal scenario that only works on paper.

More hours can help. A consistent, personalised structure matter more. Training should fit around the life you have - not what's written in a textbook. The right structure helps you train consistently, recover properly and race well.

Most athletes don't struggle because they're unfit. They struggle because race plans are built around ideal scenarios instead of current ability and contingency plans. You start race day with the fitness you have - not the fitness you hoped for three months ago.

Training hard, but going nowhere? The issue often isn't effort, it's intensity distribution. Too many athletes live in the grey zone. Not easy enough to recover. Not hard enough to adapt. Separate hard from easy and progress becomes repeatable.

Don't know what's actually working
Modern training creates endless data: Pace, Power, HR, Recovery scores. But information doesn't create progress. Reviewing your training properly helps identify adaptation markers, fatigue creators and where change is needed.

Following analysis of your questionnaire, a detailed athlete profile will be discussed on your opening strategy call where clarifications and expectations will be set.

Your Evolution Begins
Once your TrainingPeaks account is set-up and attached to CM Endurance. You'll get your first weeks training plan added to your calendar.
